Kochi at a glance
Kochi is the business capital of Kerala, built around a natural harbour and one of India’s busiest ports. Shipping, trade, technology parks and tourism all meet here. Waterfront hotels and convention venues give events a distinctive setting, and the historic quarter of Fort Kochi adds heritage streets and cafes within easy reach of the business districts.
Why host a MICE event in Kochi
Kochi suits Meetings, Incentives and Conferences. Conferences and leadership meetings run smoothly in the city’s hotels and convention venues, and the setting does much of the work for evening events. Incentive planners value how easily a Kochi programme extends to the backwaters or to the tea hills of Munnar, so a group can combine working sessions with a genuine reward. Large trade exhibitions are better suited to the bigger metros.
Getting to Kochi
Kochi’s international airport has good connections to the Indian metros and to the Gulf and South-East Asia. The airport is outside the city, so we plan transfer times carefully and use coaches for groups. For extensions we arrange road transfers to the backwaters and the hills, with timings that keep drives in daylight.
Planning notes
October to March is the best season. The south-west monsoon from June to September brings heavy rain, which is quieter and often cheaper but limits outdoor plans. Kerala’s rules on alcohol service vary by venue category, so we confirm what is possible for gala dinners in advance.
