Ahmedabad is the business centre of Gujarat, one of India’s most industrialised states. Textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and engineering companies are based in and around the city, and the planned capital of Gandhinagar sits a short drive away. For corporate events that means a ready audience of dealers, distributors and suppliers, together with modern exhibition and convention halls and a strong stock of business hotels.
Why host a MICE event in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad is strongest for Meetings, Conferences and Exhibitions. Trade shows and dealer meets work well because so many buyers and sellers are already in the region, and the city’s halls can take large stand layouts. Business hotels handle board meetings and regional reviews comfortably. It is less of a leisure destination, so Incentive groups usually look elsewhere, though the old city’s heritage walks and food make a good evening for visiting delegates.
Getting to Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad’s international airport has frequent flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and other metros, and the city is on a main rail corridor. Venues are spread between the city and Gandhinagar, so we group hotels close to the venue and run scheduled coaches. Senior guests get dedicated cars.
Planning notes
November to February is the comfortable season; summers are very hot. Gujarat has its own rules on serving alcohol, which affects gala dinners and receptions, so tell us early what you have in mind and we will plan the evening around what is permitted. Large trade weeks fill hotels across the city, so block rooms well ahead.
